Lost Ark Distillery is a small artisan distillery founded on one primary principle - passion. It’s long been our dream to produce unique and flavorful ultra-premium spirits, that embrace the local history of Maryland, yet break the mold by creating something new. We've made it our priority to ensure that locally sourced materials are not just present; we want to make sure they are embraced throughout every unique flavor note in our spirits. We want you to taste the history in every pour. Every step of our distilling process is done by hand, from grain to bottle, and every ingredient is hand picked, to ensure only the highest quality spirits are produced. Passion fuels our desire to craft the best spirits in the industry.

Our name, Lost Ark, was chosen as a symbol of the beginnings of our Free State, Maryland. The first settlers from Europe arrived in Maryland in 1634. Their voyage started from London, England four months earlier in November, 1633. They traveled on two ships, the Ark and the Dove. Their goal, ordered by Lord Baltimore, was to setup the first proprietary colony in America. The passengers were carefully chosen because of their skills and abilities to survive. Everything would have to be made, grown, and repaired by hand. Their livelihood hinged on their ability to adapt and craft a new life, with their own hands and the gifts given to them from the Maryland countryside and the Chesapeake Bay. Today, we believe these skills, the ability to hand craft whatever may be needed, have been lost. It's our goal at Lost Ark to get back to those roots, craft a world renowned spirit, and do so from the fruits of the Maryland countryside. We believe the Ark may have been lost, but the spirit and emotion of the hard working first settlers is still alive in Maryland today.
