Lumiere Lounge at The Strand

Friday and Saturday Nights
As you sink into a plush couch or join a friend at a café table, the modern world seems to drift away as classic silent films quietly flicker in the background while a live pianist plays. The Lumière Lounge features specialty cocktails made with local Hometown Honey. The Strand was proud to introduce this popular silent film inspired cocktail lounge in November of 2014, and its popularity continues to grow. The Lumière Lounge’s much-lauded specialty cocktail menu and live pianist create a perfectly intimate setting for a date night cocktail. Lumière is held on the second floor lounge Friday and Saturday nights from 7-11pm. 21+.

Wednesday Nights: Open Mic Comedy
Come by on Wednesday nights to enjoy The Strand’s Open Mic Comedy Night: Show Up, Go Up. David Roper hosts this new avenue for local comedians to try new material and connect. Comedians only have to show up to go up, no audition or screening required. Due to the off-the-cuff nature of comedy, this event is 21+ to participate and attend, no exceptions.

Thursday Nights
On the first Thursday of each month, Live at Lumiere: Open Mic Night is hosted by Chad Yochum and Travis Cottle, regulars in the Marietta music scene who are excited to open up a new avenue for local musicians to play and connect. This is the only open mic night around that is set up with a warm studio sound rather than your typical live PA sound. No plugging in. No sound-checking. Just play. The custom-built stereo condenser mics will do the rest. And you will sound fantastic!

Free entry, free to play, covers accepted. CDs of recorded sets are $5 per song (original material only). The signature Lumiere Beverage Menu, including our homemade Cola, and Tonic, will be available along with beer, wine, and a full bar. Sign ups start at 7pm. The lounge is 21+.
