Macondo Taperia Latina located in the Lower East Side and West Village brings you street food Latin Tapas. Macondo is named after the fictional village in Gabriel García Márquez “One Hundred Years of Solitude”.

Our menu pioneers the Estilo Libre Latino (Freestyle Latino) cuisine, signature dishes created with the free spirit of being influenced by flavors and traditions from all over the Spanish-speaking world and yet still respecting its traditional base. We serve arepas from Venezuela, cocas from Barcelona, tacos from Mexico, ceviches from Peru, and churros con chocolate from Madrid. You may catch "Macondo locals" enjoying a "porron", a fun way of drinking wine poured out of a traditional glass wine pitcher with a spout, raised high above the mouth.
