Marshall Surgery is the largest and most comprehensive surgical group in the area. Functioning as the Department of Surgery in the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University, the group combines advanced medical technology and cutting-edge surgical techniques, to provide nearly all of your surgical needs here in the Tri-State area. From routine and screening colonoscopies to minimally invasive procedures to the most difficult trauma surgeries to all facets of cosmetic surgery, our team of surgeons are able to provide surgical care that would otherwise require the patients to travel to larger cities outside the region.

The Department functions and provides services in the following surgical divisions: Pediatric, Plastic & Reconstructive, Bariatrics / Weight Loss, Burn, Oral & Maxillofacial, Thoracic, Minimally Invasive, Urological Services and Surgical Oncology.

An advantage to you the patient of having a surgical team comprised of over 20 highly trained and qualified surgeons, is that it provides options. In addition to being able to select your surgeon, you may be able to select the technique utilized and the location of your surgery since we have surgeons that operate in Cabell Huntington Hospital, St. Marys Medical Center, the CHH Surgery Center and Logan Regional Medical Center. Having the ability to select physicians and location of the surgery, enables the patient to select an alternative that is right for them and will allow them to stay closer to home and their support team during and after surgery, as well as being closer to their surgeon for follow up care.
