McDowell First Baptist Church

McDowell First Baptist Church is a medium-sized church affiliated with the Kentucky Baptist Convention (KBC) and the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). Nestled among the hills of Floyd County in the heart of central Appalachia, we have a forty-year history of outreach for our community, and we strive to consistently reach hearts for Christ through our services and programs.

Sunday School for all ages (infants through seniors) begins Sunday mornings at 9:45. We have classes for everyone, including babies, various elementary grades, youth, college/young adults, senior men and women, and many more.

Regular Sunday services begin weekly at 11:00 AM, and extended services for toddlers and elementary-aged children are provided during this time.

Sunday night services begin at 7:00 in the Sanctuary. The MFBC Impact Youth Group (for youth from the fifth through twelfth grades) meets during this time as well. Buses are run for Sunday services. Please contact us for more information regarding our bus schedule.

Prayer meetings are also held throughout the week. Dates and times will be posted on our page.
