McGuffey is a village in Hardin County, Ohio, United States. The population was 501 at the 2010 census.HistoryMcGuffey was laid out in 1890, and named for John McGuffey. John McGuffey had donated land for a railroad depot in exchange for the naming rights. A post office called McGuffey has been in operation since 1883.
