Medina for Mayor

San Antonio is the 7th largest city in America. We are the capitol of South Texas. And, I love our city. But, we desperately need a new mayor.

We need a mayor independent of special interests, focused on today's critical needs, and one who will be a voice for fiscal responsibility.

As your mayor, I will be accountable to you, the taxpayer; not the city manager, not the paid lobbyist, not the special interests. To you, the taxpayers on San Antonio. In contrast, our current mayor will accept $1 million from special interests. Thus she will owe "$1 million plus interest" in special favors.

As your mayor, I will focus on TODAY. Their is a legitimate concern in the community that our mayor is out of touch. That she spends all her time planning for the 1 million new residents expected in our city over the next 25 years. Well, how about the 1.5 million that already live here today, and our jobs, our safety, our infrastructure! I will get to work on problems that have plagued us far too long: generational poverty on the Westside; institutional violence on the Eastside; nightmare traffic on the Northside; and the lack of basic infrastructure on the Southside.

As your mayor, I will be a voice for fiscal responsibility. Taxpayers can trust me to hold the line on taxes, because I am not beholden to special interests or their pet projects. Taxpayers can trust me to challenge every SAWS and CPS rate increase, because I believe that we already have too many six-figure salaries at city hall. Taxpayers can trust me to work with Democrats and Republicans at the State Legislature to reign in the Bexar County Appraisal District. And, Taxpayers can trust me to fight back when power brokers on both sides of the aisle, Democrats and Republicans, attempt to stack the deck against working families in San Antonio.
