We are a church whose roots are deep in the heart of the Newark community and are fully committed to "Bringing Families Together Around the Word of God". It may be your desire to learn more about the awesome ministry and Christ-Centered work of MBC, to mature as a Christian, to share your gifts and talents, worship and honor God with other believers, or join us in the community in bringing souls to Christ; regardless of the reason, know that you have a home with us.

At Metropolitan Baptist Church, we remain focused on the family because it was the first institution established by God, and it is the foundation of His plan for victorious living. Knowing this to be true, and believing that the family is the most important part in the process of healing hurting people, the Metropolitan Baptist Church Family will maintain as its theme; "Bringing Families Together Around the Word of God".
