WHAT IS MATCHA
Matcha is a type of Green Tea. Our Matcha is made from freshly hand-picked Organic green tea leaves that are stone ground into a fine powder. In another words, when you are enjoying Matcha - you are actually drinking pure tea leaves which means you are getting a very concentrated dose of antioxidants and chlorophyll. Matcha also promotes stable energy, lifted mood and enhanced metabolism.
HOW IT IS BREWED
We use only 100% Organic Ceremonial Grade Matcha, delivered from the mountains of Japan. It is then locally crafted in Los Angeles, California. Our Matcha is cold brewed in enclosed cold water filled kettles to ensure that we never subject the finely stone ground powder to heat or light. After the brewing process, to protect the freshness and flavor - we then use High Pressure Processing (HPP) or also known as Cold Pressure Processing - instead of using heat pasteurization or adding preservatives.

We believe that Matcha should be enjoyed in its most authentic form. The key to enjoying pure Matcha is by using the highest grade - premium Matcha available - which is only grown in specific regions of Japan and only harvested in the month of May. This freshly harvested Matcha is also called “Ceremonial Grade” which comes from its original purpose of Japanese tea ceremonies. Outside of tea ceremonies and for over 900 years in Japan - Matcha Green tea was enjoyed in its traditional hot form by anyone from monks to warriors to promote concentration and stable energy. At Midori Matcha, our goal was to cold brew the Matcha and transform it into a modern and convenient bottle form to fuel an active lifestyle.
