Owner Matt Koplen started in the building industry on the outer banks as a summer job when he was 15 years old. Through hard work and dedication, he started his own construction company at the age of 18. After years of hard work, climbing the ladder from small jobs leading to larger jobs, we were building houses for the biggest contractors on the Outer Banks. From 1,200 sq ft beach boxes to 10,000 sq ft ocean fronts, we have experience to build from the ground up. Larger building companies, seemed to be missing quality in work, so we decided to form MK Contractors. We provide a full service construction company, with the customer in mind. With a hands on approach, we will build your house or business space, as if it were our own. You will get the personal attention to detail and quality throughout the process, you won’t find anywhere else.
