Moorenko's Ice Cream

Our artisanal ice cream is made in small, carefully monitored batches (that means we have to taste every batch, but we're willing to make that sacrifice for you).

Moorenko's ice creams and sorbets are ultra-premium, all natural, and built from the bottom up. The woman-owned company creates unique flavors for sophisticated palates as well as the all time favorites. One taste and you'll be spoiled.

Founded in 2002 by Susan Soorenko and her sons, Matt and Ethan, Moorenko's (see how clever our name is?) makes only the finest, most delectable ice creams and sorbets. Moorenko's started with a humble little side-street dip shop in McLean, VA and has since grown and received many regional accolades.

We are greatly honored to work with chefs of the caliber of Walter Scheib (former Executive Chef at the White House) and Carla Hall ("Top Chef" finalist). Over the past few years we have been thrilled to work our way onto the shelves of Whole Foods, Giant, and many other regional markets and co-ops.

If you don't see us in your local market or favorite restaurant, ask them why not. In the meantime, keep an eye out for us doing tastings at your local supermarket!


PARKING AT OUR SHOP:

There is a public parking garage where the first 30 minutes are free (plenty of time to run in with the kids and grab a cone). If you are heading South on Georgia Ave, make the right immediately after going under the train bridge and take that straight to the garage. If you are heading north on Georgia Ave, make a left onto East-West Hwy, and make the first right onto Blair Mill Way, which will lead you right to the parking garage.
