Mothering the Mother Inc

Mothering the Mother is a non-profit organization in Milwaukee County that believes ALL women should have access to quality birth professionals regardless of their situation. We are a resource center for ALL mothers, and offer referrals to birth professionals for free. We provide a variety of classes, doulas, lactation support, and mentors. All services are based upon on a sliding scale depending on the individual family's circumstances. We also work within the community - collaborating with other organizations to provide the best resources available to serve the needs of the families we work with.

We realize that parenthood doesn't just start and end with the birth of the baby, but instead starts before conception and goes on for a lifetime. Therefore we are here to offer assistance throughout the journey, and our goal is to give mothers and babies the best possible start in life.
