Mountain Island Day School / Early Beginings

Mountain Island Day School, located at Mountain Island Lake in Charlotte, NC, was founded in 2009 by the board of Early Beginnings a local Christian Preschool. We have moved our school to 1209 Little Rock road in a neighborhood that needs special attention. We believe if we bring our Christian values to this poor area we can add value and turn the area around. MID began as an extension of Early Beginnings starting with a primary education with the intention of adding grades until we reached 12th grade. The first year MID opened its doors with 42 students TK-3rd grade. Today we still have 42 Students due to high Teacher turnover and may students leaving year after year but we are getting better. Som people do not believe in what we preach and that is ok. The Lord loves us all.
