Mt. Abraham Middle/High School's Community Council meets every Monday from 2:50-3:45 in the small cafeteria. All members of our school community are welcome to attend, so come to discuss or listen in!
Elections are held every spring for grades seven through 12 for the session that takes place the following August; there are four positions for voting representative per grade. Additionally, every subject department, (i.e. the English Department), is represented on the council. There is one seat for an administrative representative, and one for a representative of the School Board as well. There are five seats for community member representatives.
Issues and proposed ideas are brought to our attention in the form of proposals; these forms can be found on the school website or the main office, and can be submitted to the main office or a Council representative.
Meetings are run by the Council Moderator, who is elected by the council in the spring to serve the following year. They are supported by a Treasurer, Clerk, and Communicator.
