Dr. Charles F. Munk and Dr. Charles W. Munk are both highly trained orthodontic specialists, which means they have completed an additional two-year college program beyond dental school.

Both doctors are licensed in the specialty of orthodontics by the State of Michigan, and are members of the American Association of Orthodontists.

The doctors and staff also attend numerous continuing education courses to keep them current on all of the latest technological advances.

Recently, Insignia™ Advanced Smile Design was added to enhance treatment, and provide another tool to gain a more predictable, more efficient and effective approach to orthodontics.

“With Insignia™, we can utilize a computerized system that combines digital treatment planning with specially made brackets and wires to specifically target each patient’s individual dental anatomy,” said Dr. Munk. “It allows us to develop and control every tooth movement, every brace and every wire,” Dr. Munk explained, adding each aspect is precisely calculated for the most optimal tooth movement.

Damon® brackets continue to be used to provide patients with more than just straight teeth. The Damon® System helps us create broad, beautiful smiles that will not only look great when treatment is complete, but for a lifetime.

Wilckodontics®, commonly referred to as “fast ortho” is another exciting treatment option available at Munk Orthodontics. Patients opting for “fast ortho” treatment can be in and out of braces in just 3-8 months! Dr. Charles F. Munk and Dr. Charles W. Munk are two of the very few orthodontists in Michigan licensed to provide the Wilckodontics® procedure.

Invisalign® continues to be a wonderful treatment option for both teens and adults. In fact, Munk Orthodontics is a Preferred Provider of Invisalign®.
Invisalign® uses invisible, removable aligners that are created using the latest medical imaging technology. Each aligner is worn for several weeks, and can be removed to eat, brush, and floss.
