Mustang Parks Foundation

The mission of the Mustang Parks Foundation is to preserve and enhance the Mustang Parks system as a recreational resource for residents, workers and visitors in the City of Mustang.

The purpose of the Mustang Parks Foundation is to create and support a sustainable coalition of partners for the Mustang Parks and Recreation system that will raise money, hold events and act as advocates for the parks and recreation systems with minimal support from government agencies.

The goals of Mustang Parks Foundation include:

1. Raise financial support for a special needs inclusive playground
2. Attract Arts in the Park program
3. Install public art
4. Create Adopt-a-Park program
5. Hold regular, well-attended meetings
6. Create membership mailing list
7. Establish board structure – Temporary/Project related then permanent
8. Support, fund and assist with special projects or other recreational needs as requested by Parks and Recreation staff, including but not limited to:
a. Scholarships for camps
b. Assist the Wildhorse Gardens and Market or other recreational organizations
c. Aquatic facility improvement
