MVCC Airframe and Powerplant

Mohawk Valley Community College offers an FAA (Federal Aviation Administration)-approved Airframe & Powerplant [A&P] aircraft maintenance training program at Griffiss International Airport KRME) in Rome, NY. The MVCC A&P Certificate is a 1,905-hour program which runs for three consecutive semesters for a total of only 12 calendar months. There are three enrollment starting points each year, January, May, and August. Classes are limited to 24 students each. An Associate Degree in Applied Science, Aviation Maintenance, is also available requiring two additional semesters. Graduates of this program with the certificate or with the degree, are certified to maintain all types of aircraft including Commercial airliners, business jets, helicopters, private general aviation aircraft, and military aircraft. Jobs are in great demand locally in NYS, and all over the rest of the country.
