Dr. Neel Jolepalem received his bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery (MBBS) in 1971 from Osmania University in in Hyderabad, India. He then relocated to the United States where he completed his post graduate training. Subsequently, Dr. Jolepalem served his internship in psychiatry at SUNY at Buffalo (1976-1977), residency and fellowship in behavioral medicine at New York Medical College (1977-1980), and residency in psychiatry at Michigan State University (1980-1981). He holds certification in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Jolepalem is a distinguished member of the American Medical Association and the Michigan State Medical Society. He tries to make a difference in the lives of his patients by providing the most advanced and effective treatments available. He also provides medical education in behavioral medicine for residents and medical students and has research interests in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy for major depressive disorders. Dr. Jolepalem has been actively involved in various initiatives concerned with the provision of educational support for the poor.
