“Upon responding to the move of God on my heart to plant a Christ centered, Bible believing, community conscience church in the Chicago area I began to ask God, “where?” I starting driving westward which lead me across Austin Blvd. Each time I crossed this boulevard I sensed a tug upon my heart and a distinct impression that this area was where God wanted a church planted. I drove up and down Austin Blvd and as I drove I inquired of the Lord which side, not knowing that this street was a clear line of demarcation between two very distinct communities of Austin and Oak Park. While expecting an either or response He placed it clearly upon my heart and mind one word, “BOTH”. This was further validated as I spoke with several New Life pastors and saw a map depicting all of the places God had used New Life to plant 16 life giving churches. There on the map was a gaping hole of an area un-reached by New Life, the Austin and Oak Park communities.”
