The NEW200 Foundation is dedicated to recognizing excellence in teaching and expanding educational opportunities, at all school levels. Created in 1992, it is operated by volunteers, who work in collaboration with District 200 to award grants directly to teachers for innovative classroom projects.
Volunteers are critical to our success and we need help. Inspired by Engage 200, new parent volunteers are helping to grow the Foundation, whose funding has declined in recent years due to volunteer attrition, as participant's children grew out of the district. With more volunteers, we can raise more awareness and funds, through partnerships with businesses, alumni, and other organizations.
The NEW 200 Mission Statement is to enhance the school experience of District 200 students by:
Funding innovative teaching methods
Providing new technology
Recognizing excellence in teaching
