Norwegian Township is a township in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population density was 371.9 people per square mile (143.6/km²). There were 894 housing units at an average density of 153.1/sq mi (59.1/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 98.94% White, 0.18% African American, 0.28% Native American, 0.32% Asian, 0.14% from other races, and 0.14% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.32% of the population.There were 861 households out of which 30.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.9% were married couples living together, 7.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.5% were non-families. 23.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.52 and the average family size was 2.99.
