Steve and I started NOVEMBER RAIN CHARTERS in 2003, after having fished together for close to 10 years.

As a kid, Steve spent every free moment either on a boat or on the beach, fishing alongside his grandfather, Bob. I, on the other hand, wouldn't have known a striped bass if I ran it over with my Hot Wheels (anyone remember those!). Fishing just wasn't my thing.

Many years later, however, after meeting Steve and being introduced to fishing, I realized that I really did enjoy it. And, not long after that, Steve and I were on the water together regularly.

Sheepshead Bay is really where it all began, especially for Steve, who considered Emmons Avenue his second home, fishing on many of the party boats docked there back in that day. Our first few years fishing together were spent in Brooklyn, until we began traveling further east. We started fishing Montauk with our 22' Mako and then our 28' BHM (the first NOVEMBER RAIN). We spent the next 10 years with our 35' Young Brothers. Now, we're fishing our new 43' Lowell Brothers, which is certified for up to 20 passengers.
