More about Obsessed Training

Start Small Dream Big! I have lived by this motto since I first started my fitness journey in 2011 as a freshman playing football for Chowan University. All my life I have played sports, but really gravitated towards football in middle school. I then continued to follow my passion at Rockville HS and played football all 4 years earning “All League Football SS” (Washington Post 2009) and “All League Honorable Mention SS” (Washington Post 2008). After HS I was not fully satisfied with the scholarships I was offered and decided to attend for a post graduate at one of the top prep schools in the nation, Hargrave Military Academy. While attending Hargrave Military Academy, I had the privilege to play alongside some amazing and talented players, Martavis Bryant WR for the Pittsburg Steelers and Corey Crawford DE for the Washington Redskins. After my post graduate season, I was offered and recruited by Chowan University and Youngstown State University.

I started from very humble beginnings training a few clients at the local HS track during my summer break. After about 2 years, I revamped my garage into a gym and I was training clients from my home gym for another 2 years. I am now opening up my own facility to train me clients/athletes. My training background is based off of athletic movements with a mixture of powerlifting and crossfit. This type of training is highly intense, but very rewarding. I am a firm believer in getting comfortable being uncomfortable because when you push past the point that you are tired you learn a lot about yourself! This is why I do my best to push all my clients and athletes to the best of their abilities and not only become stronger physically, but also mentally. I have realized that working out in general is more than just lifting weights, but more so about learning who you are and how much drive, desire, effort, and dedication you have to reach your goals. That is why I preach and ask my clients “How bad do you want this?” because if they want it bad enough and show some type of fire within them, I can ignite that fire even more by motivating and making sure they know I am right there to help them through it.
