Daniel R. Treccia (Dan) is a retired professional baseball outfielder and N.S.C.A. Strength & Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S.) who spent four seasons competing in the American Association with the Grand Prairie AirHogs and Sioux Falls Canaries, in Canada’s independent Intercounty Baseball League with the Guelph Royals, Burlington Bandits, and London Majors, as well as signed contracts with the Hawaii Stars in the North American League and the Trinidad Triggers in the Pecos League. He overcame four orthopedic surgeries in his last two years of college at Benedictine University to make it against the odds to professional baseball while completing his B.A. in Social Sciences with a minor in Psychology (graduated, Fall 2014).

Dan has been researching, designing, and implementing his strength, speed, and agility programs on himself and clientele since 2012. He believes in a strong foundation of strength and conditioning for any athlete in any sport. Dan has coached I.H.S.A. high school baseball in Illinois and collegiately over the summer in Canada.

Dan has written programs and an e-Book featured on Breaking Muscle, as well as for collegiate baseball players at Southwest Minnesota State University and Hendrix College. Currently he is working as a Sports Performance Coach and power hitting/throwing velocity instructor in suburban Chicago, Illinois.
Dan’s core beliefs are avant-garde in the fitness community. Every individual is different but few people model their performance based programs without the single most important muscle group for every athlete. Periodization is the past for athletes and the days of hypertrophy-strength building-max strength-power development programs in a linear manner are over. If you want the status quo, you get outdated results. If you want to make substantial improvement in your speed, strength, power, and rate of force development – Dan’s programs and innovative approach is for you. Dan is living proof that his approach has worked at the professional level. In one off-season, his approach improved his barbell squat by more than 90 lbs. and 60-yard dash from 6.9 to 6.5 seconds.
