Onala offers Peer Recovery Support Services. Peer recovery support services are designed to fill the needs of people in or seeking recovery, help people become and stay engaged in the recovery process and reduce the likelihood of relapse. Peer Recovery Specialists are available to help in many ways such as: providing information about 12 Step recovery meetings (AA, NA, etc.) at Onala and in the community; making referrals to drug/alcohol treatment facilities (detox, inpatient and outpatient programs); providing information about resources in the community (housing, medical, mental health or social service programs) and supporting individuals through their process of recovery from alcoholism and/or addiction.
Various Twelve Step recovery meetings (e.g. Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Dual Recovery Anonymous) are held daily. Onala has a recreation room with video games and a pool table, a large banquet room used for dances and other special events, a TV room, a recovery store and full service kitchen and dining area.
