More about Optimum PT and Performance

My name is Ben Cuddy, and I’m a physical therapist and strength coach. My passion is helping people move better, feel better and perform better. I am a life long athlete having played multiple sports growing up and ice hockey through college and beyond. I’ve trained and worked towards performing better in my sport for a lot of years. I’ve also worked with a lot of athletes and individuals of all ages. I understand training, what its like to work through injury, and how to help others deal with theirs. I also understand movement and how good movement builds a good foundation for a healthy and active life– from just simply feeling good on day-to-day basis, to getting the most out of your workouts, to reaching the next level athletically.

I believe that people can and should be able to address many of their own issues, but sometimes more information and a helping hand is what’s needed. And I’m here to help! I pride myself on my thorough yet straightforward approach, blend of manual therapy skills, strong understanding of good movement and exercise, and my drive to educate. I firmly believe I can help you reach the next level.

I attended Penn State University where I played club ice hockey and graduated with a bachelors in Kinesiology and Movement Science. I completed my doctorate in physical therapy through the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Charlestown, MA. Prior to graduate school I was a strength and conditioning coach at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning in Woburn, MA and since have worked in the collegiate setting with Northeastern University Sports Performance. I have completed and continue to seek self-development and continuing education opportunities through numerous organizations (see below).
