WHAT WE DO

Organize Sacramento provides education, training, and consulting to equip individuals, organizers, community leaders, and their organizations to think and act strategically to produce positive results when implementing issue actions and organizing campaigns.

Areas of expertise include:

Creating a Strategy to Win
• Working with the leadership group to determine specific, measureable goals and objectives
• Assistance in assessing the resources you have and the resources you will need to carry out a successful campaign
• Ongoing work during the campaign to constantly assess what is working, what is not, and making changes in the strategic plan

Strategic relationships
• Assist with crafting relationships with like-minded people and organizations that will likely increase access to the resources necessary for winning the issue

Access to officials and community leaders
• Organize meetings with elected policymakers and staff on issues of critical concern

Public affairs and media relations services
Assisting organization volunteers to:
• Write and distribute media advisories/press releases
• Conduct media briefings
• Pitch reporters
• Stage media events

Facilitation and project management
• Plan and implement training and evaluation programs. Organize Sacramento has put together a staff of activists with decades worth of experience in developing and executing campaigns for change. Our combined experience is available to activists in your organization to build not only for the success of the immediate campaign, but also to build the capacity of your organization to take on new issues and win in the future
• Working with activists in your organization, we can design and deliver educational seminars for targeted community groups to help build support for your issue/campaign
