PAPPI'S Mediterranean

PAPPI’S provides consistently fresh and flavorful Mediterranean fare daily, and at a great value. PAPPI’S menu is a celebration of the most popular traditional Mediterranean dishes - from Spain to France and Italy; from Greece to Turkey across to Lebanon and Israel; and from Egypt to Tunisia and Morocco. PAPPI’S is the third collaboration between partners Pappi Matros (Chef de Mobile) and Karen Ferencz (Chef de Cuisine). Their first two ventures – both restaurants in the Hudson Valley – are still favorites in the community, going strong after 25 years and 8 years respectively (now under different management).

A note from Pappi:
“If you are like me, food can be extraordinarily evocative, bringing back memories not just of the food itself but also of the place, the people I shared the food with and my emotions and state of mind at the time. For me when I think of – the falafel from the stand outside the bus station in Rehovot, Israel; the shawarma in the home of my backgammon opponent in Damascus; the smell of roasting sesame seeds coming from the bakery at the entrance to the old city in Jerusalem; grilled sardines on the beach in the south of France; or a gyro at a take-out shack in the small fishing village in Greece where my brother and family live - not only can I taste the food, but each bite brings me back to another time and place.

PAPPI’S is my attempt to share some of those memories with you through the celebration of authentic, classic dishes from throughout the Mediterranean. And perhaps make some new memories at the same time.”
