Pastoral Training of Asia USA

Pastoral Training of Asia is a non-profit organization, supported solely by private donors and churches from all over the US. All donations go to support our ministries in Asia, including our Dumaguete, Philippines office (Asian Headquarters) and staff, training seminars (see below for more information), vocational ministries, printing ministry, Bible Resource library, our twelve missionary families abroad and our USA office located in San Clemente, CA & staff.

Pastor Jim Davis is the Founder & International Director of PTA. He was a pastor for 13 years in California and has served in the Philippines since 1987. He graduated with honors from Southern California College with a BA in Bible and from Talbot Theological Seminary with a MA degree. He is married to Shonda and has four children and eleven grandchildren.

PTA has ministry networks in primary areas within the nations of central Asia: India, Philippines, Thailand, Korea, Indonesia, Laos, Cambodia & Vietnam. Our desire is to serve indigenous pastors and workers by conducting Biblical training seminars to effectively enhance ministry skills. Our method of training is called Theological Training by Extension (TEE).

The PTA Training Seminars provide Biblical training and teaching on the following subjects: Inductive Bible Study Method, Evangelism & Follow-up, Church Leadership Skills & Christian Marriage & Family Life. The seminars require no registration fees and meals and training materials are provided at no charge. We also conduct the seminar subjects for Bible Colleges, Seminaries & Training Centers (Vocational Ministry).

PTA gives FREE gospel tracts to churches, ministries & Christian Groups through our Printing Ministries (located in Dumaguete, Philippines & Northeast India.) This is also where we develop & print the seminar training materials in several languages.

We have two Bible Resource Libraries--in Dumaguete & San Clemente--that house a variety of Christian books, documentaries & Study materials. The Dumaguete library also has a large selection of Bible videos (VCR, DVD, CD) and Bible computer resources.
