Patrick B. Harris Psychiatric Hospital

Patrick B. Harris Hospital is a 200 bed, regional acute care inpatient facility in Anderson, South Carolina.

The hospital provides intensive, short-term, psychiatric diagnostic and treatment services on a 24 hour, emergency voluntary and involuntary basis.

SC Department of Mental Health's mental health centers screen admissions and are actively involved in discharge planning.

Patients are served on the basis of need and not on the ability to pay.

In addition to providing patient care, the Hospital is a training site for three medical schools, six nursing schools and other graduate degree training programs, including: social work, pharmacy, activity therapy, dieticians and nurse practitioners.
