Peacock Family Center

Peacock Family Center was founded in 2009 by a group of active family services professionals including pediatricians, family counselors, mid-wives, parents, and professionals who saw need on Bainbridge Island for something different.

The goal is to have an Early Childhood center where programs embody the highest level of learning and care based in the latest in development research, and to offer extended and full-day options to meet the needs of working families.

Together with our Early Childhood Programs, Peacock’s founders envisioned a center where family services and support live under the same roof, providing a much needed family services hub for the greater Bainbridge Island community.

Research tells us that supportive care for parents promotes positive connections between children and their caregivers. The combination of child care and family support is recommended by current social policy initiatives and is an integral component of Peacock Family Center.
