www.PhiladelphiaGaneshFestival.org - The Philadelphia Ganesh Festival started back in 2005 at the Bhartiya Temple. This festival brings all communities together to enjoy what our culture has to offer. The 10 days of the festival are filled with cultural / entertainment programs at the Bhartiya Temple,especially for the kids to enjoy.The Festival starts with a unique"Miraunuk" (procession) with Dhol Tasha and group dances performed to welcome Ganesha. On the last day the procession is followed by Visarjan(immersion of the idol) at a near by pond.
