The Office of Campus Safety has a longstanding commitment to provide a safe learning environment in which faculty and staff can prepare our students for academic excellence. Our team is comprised of dedicated professionals that are devoted to protecting and enhancing the overall safety of the Academy community. As a part of the Facilities Management Department, we provide efficient and reliable 24 hour coverage, 365 days per year.
We respond to all emergencies on campus and investigate all complaints from members of the Academy community. Our personnel and marked vehicles are radio equipped and in constant communication with the Academy dispatcher and the local police department and fire department. We are a “service oriented” organization and offer a wide range of safety resources such as campus patrols by uniformed officers, crime prevention and investigation, event planning, safety inspections, security escorts, parking management, and emergency notification systems. In addition, members of the Office of Campus Safety regularly conduct safety related training sessions for all community members.
Whether we are providing directions, parking information or just a pleasant greeting, our officers take pride in presenting a positive image to all. They represent Phillips Exeter Academy as a team of compassionate professionals intent upon enhancing the “non-sibi” Academy ideal – “not for one’s self”. The safety and well-being of our students, faculty, staff and visitors is our primary objective in every aspect of our daily duties.
