Piper High School is serving a learning community of 535 students. We are the only high school in USD #203, which encompasses 32 square miles of Western Wyandotte County in Kansas City, Kansas. The student population of USD #203 is 1800 students.
Our staff in comprised of 40 certified staff and over 15 non-certified staff. The teachers, administrators, and support staff of Piper High School provide an excellent learning environment which allows students to explore, achieve, believe, dream, and excel with responsibility and integrity.
We are proud of our accomplishments! Recently, we were once again awarded the Standard of Excellence by the Kansas Board of Education for excellence in Math and Reading. Our ACT results remain in the top 10% of all metro schools, and continue to improve. Our students have the opportunity to take a rigorous curriculum, which includes Advanced Placement courses as well as dual-credit community college courses. We will have students that graduate in 2012 with as many as 26 college hours that they have earned through our dual-credit program at Piper High School.
As a proud member of the Kaw Valley League, our student-athletes have a wide array of opportunities to compete with other fine schools in the metro area. Classified as a 4A school by KSHSAA, our teams have been very successful in state playoffs.
We have several organizations to offer our students. Key Club, Robotics, PGAA, Student Council are some of our largest student organizations.
We feel our student body is second to none and are fortunate to have the opportunity to work together everyday in order to achieve!
