*. Any dog can be trained at any age, for any problem! People tell me all the time that a veterinarian or friend "told" them their dogs couldn’t be fixed for some reason, and should be euthanized. This is simply not true! I’ve trained dogs as old as 14 yrs old and as young as 8 weeks. Starting your dog off in the right direction as a puppy is most certainly the best way to start but many owners adopt an older dog with emotional baggage, and that type of dog can still turn out to be the best dog you’ve ever had!!

Healthier and happier relationships CAN be achieved between dogs and their owners, with some patience, some work, and some routine....DISCIPLINE EXERCISE AND AFFECTION ARE KEY.

Even after all these years and all the dogs I’ve trained, I still love seeing dogs transform into what their owners envisioned. My love for dogs blends well with my love of helping people who love animals, specifically, dogs...and i specialie in the bully breeds.

Years of experience in the U S ARMY gave me the tools I needed to be able to read people and identify problems.

Home Dog Training gave me the tools I needed to read dogs, identify problems and create a plan for resolving those problems. Seeing things from the dog’s perspective and being able to “speak dog” is the key.

It took me years to develop my skills in reading and speaking dog. For most owners, it only takes a few hours to learn what is needed to change their own dog’s behavior. I continually hear how amazed people are at the quick change in their dogs’ behavior.

In home dog training: I come to your home to help you train your dog. Why? Because this is where the dog is most comfortable and where problems most often occur. It is much easier for a dog to learn in his own home, and it is impossible to set up scenes such as answering the door, counter surfing, and many other behaviors outside of the home effectively.

Once you have good behavior at home, you can apply those techniques anywhere.

Personalized, effective training for your dog: Every dog is unique. Every dog learns differently, just as owners learn differently. I will develop a plan with the owner and help implement that plan.PLAYMATES 4 PAWS does not use a cookie cutter approach, or a manual.

We recognize breed differences, personality differences, and temperament differences. You will learn how to read your own dog and recognize what you need to do to change unwanted behaviors. We do not use shock collars, pain, intimidation or fear to train your dog. We also do not use food to bribe your dog into performing for you.
