Praise English Ministry

History
Praise English Ministry began in October 2010 as the college and young adult ministry of Praise Presbyterian Church. The ministry started from a calling that many of the staff and laypersons felt to reach out to the local community and create an extended family of God where passionate worship and intimate fellowship are central missional goals. We feel especially called to reach out to those who have grown up in the church but have since left, either due to bad personal experiences or a feeling of God’s absence in their lives. We are blessed to be so close to Rutgers University and being able to serve the campus for so many years.

Vision
Our vision is to become and to exhibit a true family of God with all the rights and implications one expects from a Biblical family. This means that the Gospel is central to both the teaching from the leaders and that all its members would deeply embody it so that others will be drawn into the family of Christ.

One of the main themes found in the Bible is this concept of family. Ever since the first broken family found in the early chapters of Genesis, God has been redeeming and restoring the theme of family and will do so finally in the marriage supper of the Lamb. It is the vision of PEM to continually draw others into a grace-filled and Gospel-changed family through worship, prayer, and fellowship of the members.
