Young Visionaries Successful Occupational Strategies Workforce Development

The SOS Program truly mirrors the program goals of the San Bernardino County Workforce Development Department. The SOS Program is a Community Development project that capitalizes on strong organizational partnerships to create infrastructure solutions that lead to job creation. The SOS Program is designed to increase employability and provide the resources necessary for unemployed and underemployed residents of San Bernardino County to become self-sufficient through permanent employment or self-employment.
The SOS Program provides options for disadvantaged youth and young adults of all ethnicities and backgrounds who have completed high school but have limited skills to obtain living wage jobs. The program is intended to give these out-of-school youth the skills, job training or retraining, technical assistance, career counseling and work experience they need in order to secure full time employment in one of San Bernardino County’s fastest growing industries–Transportation and Logistics.
