Promless w/ SUGM

This past June, we had the opportunity to collaborate with Isaac Chan, a graduated senior of Newport High School, to host a formal dinner/dance event for the members of Seattle Union Gospel Mission's Hope Place shelter. The Hope Place branch works to rehabilitate women and children who have been victims of domestic abuse. Isaac wanted to create this event to not only restore a sense of dignity to the homeless of Seattle, but also establish a community awareness and responsibility to high school students. Now that Isaac has graduated, he has passed on his work to us, Alex Namba, Victoria Gu and Daniel Koh. We would like to continue Isaac's spirit of giving back and host another 'Promless for Hope Place' event this December. While last times's event was prom-themed, we are aiming for a 'home for the holidays' theme for this event. The funds raised through Gofundme.com will be used to purchase food/supplies and decorations. All leftover money will go directly to the Seattle Union Gospel Mission for their use. We will be collecting all our funds at the beginning of December in prep for the event. This means a lot to us as we have witnessed the effect that Issac had on our community and we would like to give back just as he had. Our goal is to create an event that is unforgettable for the women and children of Hope Place. We truly apreciate everyone who donates to our cause.
