Ciara began her face painting journey volunteering at the annual White House Egg Roll in 2010. She documented her volunteer experience in a local community newspaper the Greenbelt News Review. After volunteering at The White House again in 2011, Ciara relocated to her hometown of Detroit and continued face painting at her neighborhood block parties in Rosedale Park. This event brought about one referral after another and in June 2014, Pumpkin Faces was born.
