Putnam Dance Center is proud to include the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE® National Training Curriculum, a breakthrough 8 level program that combines high quality artistic training with the basics of dancer health and child development. The ABT® National Training Curriculum consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate, outcome-based guidelines to provide the highest quality training to dance students of all ages and skill levels. Primary through Level 3 will be taught by ABT® Certified Teacher, Paige Levine, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Primary through Level 3 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum.

Paige, a native of Houston, Texas, has lived in New York since 1994, and now resides in Mahopac. She began studying dance at the Houston Ballet. Upon moving to New York City, she studied George Balanchine's technique under Carol Sumner, a former soloist with the New York City Ballet. In addition to ballet, Paige has also extensively studied the Gyrotonic Expansion System; traveling to Florence, Italy for workshops exploring the biomechanics of the body. The Gyrotonic System emphasizes flexibility, control and resistance while using a full range of motion and articulation of the joints.

Paige majored in Dance and Theatre and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Manhattanville College. She was accepted into the Masters Degree in Dance Education at New York University's Steinhardt Music and Performing Arts Professions program where she became introduced to developmental teaching and designed an age appropriate curriculum for her students.

Paige is the Artistic Director of Putnam Dance Center. Her position as a dance instructor has been with "Groove with Me" a non-profit organization in Spanish Harlem and at the Rippowam Cisqua School’s after school program in Bedford. Paige has developed a unique pedagogy by combining her knowledge of the human body and movement studies with playful techniques designed to cultivate confidence and freedom of expression. Her classes are conducted to specifically encourage the student's individual creativity, while following a classical ballet syllabus. Paige is an ABT Affiliate Teacher and a Project Plie Partner Teacher with American Ballet Theatre.
