With a 12:1 student-faculty ratio and student body of about 2,400, we proudly offer a personal approach to a top-notch education grounded in the liberal arts tradition. Our quality has been affirmed by numerous rankings and awards, and our Honor Code permeates every facet of our campus culture - for students, faculty and staff alike.

Since our founding in 1857, every year at Queens has been marked by something extraordinary. In 1950, King George VI of England sent a King James Bible to be used in the newly constructed Chapel on campus. Jimmy Carter spent a week on campus in 1987. The Presbyterian School of Nursing moved to Queens in 2004, and we celebrated the opening of our Sports Complex in 2006. In more recent years Queens has received multi-million-dollar gifts that are helping to propel our transformation into a leading university in the Southeast even further.
