Rainbow Sno-Cones Shaved Ice

"A New Orleans favorite comes to Central Florida in the form of freshly-made fluffy shaved ice bursting with flavor. Unlike true snow cones, which are typically made in advance from crunchier ice, Rainbow Sno-Cones are made from snow balls, which have the texture of powdered snow. They come in a variety of flavors including banana, sherbert, coconut, strawberry, watermelon, root beer, mango and pina colada. Some of the flavors contain evaporated milk, making them more like ice cream or sherbert. Those varieties include coconut cream, cookies 'n cream, cappuccino, chocolate and wedding cake."

"If you are looking for an inexpensive way to cool down and get a treat this is where you want to go. It’s just a store front in the heart of Audubon Park Garden District. The ice used for these treats is shaved, so the texture just melts in your mouth. There are a number of flavors to pick from. From Cola to Watermelon, you might have a hard time deciding. Cream Soda is one of our family favorites. If you'd like something a little richer try one of the Cream flavors. There are a handful of those with flavors like Italian Wedding Cake and White Russian. If you aren't sure what flavor you'd like ask Bob for a sample.The owner Bob is such a nice guy. He has fun with the kids throwing shaved ice out the window when they aren't looking.
