Prevent local government misconduct and abuse of citizens' civil rights; ensure fair and equitable treatment for all citizens.
Create an independent, impartial group that is readily available to the public.
Examine public complaints in the Red Lodge area to ensure greater accountability of law enforcement and local government.
Build respect, communication and trust between law enforcement, local government and the community.
Reduce financial strain on the city derived from lawsuits caused by police and/or local government misconduct.
Recognize exceptional service by law enforcement and local government.
Improve Red Lodge Police Department training, monitoring and accountability.
