Rescued Treasures: Tulare

The Visalia Rescue Mission is a local non-profit organization. We serve the local community by providing a homeless shelter for men, women and children and serve two meals a day; 365 days a year. We are currently serving approximately 300 meals each day; over 183,000 meals in 2014!

Additionally, we operate a nine month Life Change Academy that includes a mentoring program, life-skills training, as well as work internship programs. We rely heavily on volunteers from our local communities to support our work within a hurting sector of our society. We are funded entirely by donations from local churches, businesses and individuals.

The Visalia Rescue Mission owns and operates Rescued Treasures Thrift Stores in Visalia and Tulare, as well as Simply Chic Boutique in Visalia. All proceeds from these outstanding stores directly benefit the ministry of the Mission: Providing ‘Hope and Restoration through Jesus Christ.’
