The RFBC’s purpose is to benefit the business community and residents of the greater Camarillo area. We are dedicated to informing, educating, and sharing knowledge to help entrepreneurs get smarter and build better.
In the late 1920’s Russell Fischer and his family moved to the Ventura County. For over 80 years he called the area home where he was a citrus farmer. He spent his retirement years living in Camarillo and was an avid reader who visited the Camarillo Public Library almost daily. Mr. Fischer passed away in 2006 at the age of 93 and left a bequest to the Camarillo Public Library to further develop its business resources. We honor his memory with the ongoing development of the Russell Fischer Business Collection.
At its core, the RFBC is about helping businesses thrive. A key target of the RFBC is new businesses which can be classified as
small businesses, startups, and entrepreneurs – each having a similar desire to start a successful business endeavor. The RFBC
supports a premise that existing business and employees alike require current and relevant education and business resources
that are suited for the times. We offer education and knowledge for existing businesses, tech-based startups and entrepreneurs.
The Camarillo Library offers much more than a traditional library. It serves as a community place for the public to interact,
obtain knowledge, and be informed. The grounds and interior space has been purposely designed to hold events of discovery.
For example, the community room is the place for larger events with a state of the art audio-visual system and staging. There
are conference rooms for more concentrated presentations, private meeting rooms, and comfortable nooks which can be
found throughout the facility for collaboration. The Camarillo Public Library is a great place for the business community and
the general public to intersect with a common goal of discovering more about the business environment.
Our hours of operation are 10:00 am to 9:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, and 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, Friday through

RFBC business coordinator is available 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Tuesday through Thursday, for walk-ins. To schedule an
