RivALZ - Tackling Alzheimer's: East Central Iowa Chapter

In 2005 a group of young professional women living in Washington D.C. decided to create an event. Based on their personal connection to Alzheimer's, their objective was to raise awareness of the disease among their peers. All funds raised from this single event were donated to the Alzheimer's Association. Thus, the birth of Blondes v. Brunettes.

Since it's beginning, Blondes v. Brunettes has spread to over 35 cities nationwide and has raised over $5 million to date.

Blondes v. Brunettes, now known as RivAlz, is a volunteer driven event by young professionals that brings the passion and spirit of community leaders together to support the Alzheimer's Association. The event is an organized female flag football game.
