The Filipino American Council of Greater Chicago was established in 1953, and is one of the oldest Fil-Am organizations in the United States. The FACC founding members and others who envisioned a united Filipino and Filipino American community that celebrated connection with the larger community-at-large in which we belong, purchased a former Swedish club building in 1974. The Rizal Community Center (originally known as Dr. Jose Rizal Memorial Center) at 1332 West Irving Park Road.
