Rockford Lutheran students succeed.

More than 80% of RL students taking AP tests receive college credit in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, College Calculus, Foreign Language and numerous other areas.
Eight Dual Credit courses help students complete a full year of college prior to gradation, credit transferable to most any school in the nation. The Class of 2016 completed over 500 hours of credit.

Class of 2016:

- 11% of the Class was recognized as Illinois State Scholars
- Awarded $7.8 million in Academic and Athletic Scholarships

Rockford Lutheran School is more than any one classroom or a single grade. With a program beginning in preschool and ending with students acquiring college credit, we walk with families as their young people develop and mature. Making a choice for Lutheran is making a choice to bring a full range of educational opportunities to bear on your child's educational journey.

This is the school where students of all backgrounds can find academic challenge and perform to their potential. Our school is spread across three campuses – the Pre-School for 3 & 4 year olds, the Academy for Kindergarten through 5th grade, and the Jr./Sr. High School for grades 6-12.

In every classroom are gifted and dedicated teachers who provide a balance of faith and learning. At our Jr/Sr campus, 46% of our faculty have a Master’s degree or higher, while at the Academy, 34% have their Master’s degree or higher. Many more are currently working towards their Master’s degree and most of our faculty average more than 15 years’ experience. We are proud to say that our faculty has included two Golden Apple recipients (2009 & 2012) as well as multiple Golden Apple Semi-finalists over the years.
