The County Committee is the Democratic Party’s official organization within the County of Rockland. The County Committee is charged with the administration of the affairs of the Party and with the promotion of measures for the harmony, efficiency and success of the Party.
All District, Town and Village Committees and any Democratic Clubs or Democratic political associations of any kind within Rockland County fall under the jurisdiction of the County Committee and are subject to its provisions, regulations, Rules and Bylaws.
In addition to any specific powers granted to the County Committee in its Rules and Bylaws, the Committee has the full power to act in all manners of political policy or Party management not inconsistent with the Laws of the State of New York or Rules and Regulations of the Democratic State Committee. In the Tradition of the Democratic Party, the Rockland County Democratic Party selects its officers without regard to gender, age, race, religious affiliation, or sexual orientation.
