Designed and built in 1912 by German born architect, J. L. Wees of St. Louis (1861-1942). Wees was later summoned to rebuild many of the buildings after the Paris fire of 1916. Wees also designed the R.F. Scott building, the fair grounds coliseum, the building on the northeast corner of the plaza and several homes near downtown.
